in the process of setting up Gaseous.
The initial Library Scan is already running a few days now. I think it would highly decrease if there would be some filtering in regard of the roms. What im seeing right now is that i.e. Vita takes forever as it checks every file. This means it checks txt, pngs etc if they are games.
In addition i have already a few media files for every ROM from screenscraper.fr. Which would be an aweseom additon too btw. It checks these media files too.
So i guess a some kind of filter would be great. Only accept the known file extensions of Roms and skip everything else.
Really looking forward to test gaseous when the initial setup is done.
Keep up the good work!

This is something I really do need to look into. It's a weird oversight on my part especially since I maintain a list of known file extensions under Settings -> Platform Mapping
Would be a really good. Especially for users who may have a larger library. That would benefit the scheduled job too, because as you can imagine, these scans take very long too.
