Executing tests locally in complicated paths fails

We had a case of ctest failing to run tests in a folder called "/Users/user/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/aspect". I didnt have time to investigate so far, but I guess that some part of our testing scripts do not escape spaces or tildes properly. I will come back to this later unless someone beats me to it.

I'm surprised that the tests are the first place where this goes wrong!
