Description
Your account currently does not have a 2-factor authentication configured
Xebia is rolling out a policy that requires all users to have 2 factor authentication enabled on their account. Accounts that do not have 2 factor authentication enabled on their account will at some point be removed from our organizations and its forks.
To enable 2-factor-authentication on your GitHub account:
- Navigate to ⚙️ Settings and then Password and Authentication.
- Scroll down and click Enable 2-factor authentication.
- Use one of the preferred 2-factor-authentication methods:
- Passkey (1password or yubikey)
- GitHub Mobile app on your phone
- Security Key (Yubikey)
- Authenticator App
- Back-up your recovery codes using the View button to your 1Password vault or other secure storage.
Warning
SMS/Text message based authentication is the least secure method supported by GitHub.
Important
Make sure you have a back-up of your recovery codes.
