Can I customize the new_post output?

I'd like my blog posts to have a common general structure, with a few key sections that I'll fill in. I want to see those section headings in the actual source document, instead of doing some advanced templating trick to assemble the structure.

Is there some way I can make nikola new_post pre-fill some different default content, i.e. use something else for the initial content instead of Write your post here.?

You could use nikola new_post -i:

    -i ARG, --import=ARG
        Import an existing file instead of creating a placeholder
