Problem Statement
It is possible to add an integration to popular ticket systems like Gitlab or Jira. Once those are configured, I can link Sentry issues to specific tickets in the external issue tracking system.
Sometimes I'd like to link to an external system that I don't have influence over - I can create tickets in it, but can't administer it, and thus can't setup the issue link between Sentry and that system. Often those are Jira instances used by third party companies we work for.
What I've tried
Pasting ticket URLs in the activity/comments section: That works up to a point, but as soon as more comments ("Merged") appear, the link disappears behind the "View 5 more" button. This also prevents the link to be visible in Sentry's issue list view.
Solution Brainstorm
In addition to the issue system integrations, Sentry should offer a "Link URL" in the "Issue tracking" area on the right of the issue view.
Sentry wouldn't try to fetch the URL, not try to sync status with it. Just link to it.
