It seems like GB quite often starts ringing some terminal bell constantly and it for example happens when I unlock my Mac, and it keeps going for a few seconds. I am pretty sure it comes from GB and it appears to go away when GB is not running or when I exit it. Pretty weird issue, but I am wondering if others also see this

This is a strange issue indeed, and I didn't seem to have encountered this one before. A reproduction with the terminal app open, locking and unlocking the Mac didn't happen.
Could you upload a screen recording of how this looks like? QuickTime Player will stop recording when the Mac is locked, so one might have to use an external camera to capture it 📷.
