Show heterogeneous data space use cases

Issue Description

From conversations with @cbkerr and users performing experimental research, we should expand the examples/concepts to include heterogeneous use cases. We also need to show nested state points.

Proposed change (optional)

Add examples of heterogeneous data, explain that signac is a "NoSQL" type of database. Define homogeneous, heterogeneous.
