position missing in fonts_public.proto

https://github.com/google/fonts/blob/main/ofl/wixmadefortext/METADATA.pb contains a position element which is not included in the fonts_public.proto in this repo.
When I am trying to parse it, I am getting the following error:
google.protobuf.text_format.ParseError: 32:3 : Message type "google.fonts_public.FontProto" has no field named "position".
