Scene not displaying and plugin not displaying an errors

What happened:
The scene is not being rendered by the Grafana AWS IoT Twin Maker app and it is also not showing the item in the hierarchy.

What you expected to happen:
The scene should be rendered just as in AWS IoT TwinMaker in AWS Cloud.

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):
Create a new dashboard in Grafana.
Add a new visual.
Select AWs IoT Twin Maker as the data source.
Change visualization to AWS IoT TwinMaker Scene Viewer
Set the Workspace and Scense
Save the dashboard

Anything else we need to know?:

Environment:

• Grafana version: Grafana Cloud Pro
• Plugin version: AWS IoT TwinMaker App 1.18.3 (installed version)

No, it has never worked. This is the first time I have attempted to do this with Grafana and the AWS IoT TwinMaker plugin in.

I can tell you that is was not easy to get it setup. After installing the plugin, configuring permissions, and testing the connection to get a successful acknowledgement. I created a new dashboard and visualization, but could not get the drop list option to show:

AWS IoT Twin Maker Video Player

To make the options show I downgraded from 1.18.3 to 1.18.0. After the options showed, I configured my visualization and configured the "Workspace" and "Scene", but it would not render.

After this I tried downgrading to "1.15.0" and then back up to "1.18.3" to see if that would make it render, but nothing. Now, I am thinking through where to go next. Is there a log file that would tell me what is happening?

@kevinwcyu , I reached out to someone at Grafana technical support.

They were able to figure out what is wrong with the rendering. They used the Chrome browser to launch the developer tools and get the exact error. Here is the screenshot:

Error message:
"Message": "User: arn:aws:sts::zzzzzzzzzzzzzz:assumed-role/twinmaker-workspace-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx2-zzzzzzzzzzzzzz-iad/grafana is not authorized to perform: iottwinmaker:ExecuteQuery on resource: arn:aws:iottwinmaker:us-east-1:zzzzzzzzzzzzzz:workspace/xxxxxxx because no identity-based policy allows the iottwinmaker:ExecuteQuery action"

It would be great to get this error message to display within the Grafana visualization if possible, so that anyone doing it in the future does not get stuck/blocked.

Can this be added as a feature, to take any errors and display it within the visual?

To get it resolved I needed to add "iottwinmaker:ExecuteQuery":

Resolving the problem was easy, but it took a lot of time to figure out what the issue was because the error was not shown. Pushing the error the user interface would help out a lot.

Let me know if there is a different way to track this once you add this to the AWS IoT TwinMaker backlog.
