Sync Mode Clarity

The Sync Mode verbage is always confusing to me and I always have to test / validate.
Is there a better/easier/clearer way of describing the directionality:
Bidirectional
Reset remote to local
Reset local to remote
Merge?

What's the difference with Bidirectional vs Merge?
I always get confused and fearful by the 'reset' and is it "Reset remote, to local?" or "Reset, remote to local"? and vice

To me I get fearful it 'reset remote to local' means:
Reset the Remote db to(from) the local db.
Reset, remote changes will update the local db

Agreed I just found this page and dont recall seeing before, the documentation is very clear, the GUI FE isn't. Adding a link to the doc could be nice in the GUI FE.
I just feel like reset is a interesting word choice.
I think Syncing infers directionality and the 'to', for me, that 'from' would be a more accurate choice or even '-->' would be preferred.
I think when using 'reset' that makes me think more statefulness and with the 'to' trips me up when trying to figure that directoin changes are getting synced vs which one is getting 'reset' from one to the other

I think the best solution (independently of possible reformulation) would be to have arrows like in good old Unison Sync
