Microsoft deprication of virtual smartcard interface

Hi, If I'm understanding the architecture of the windows server access solution its based on virtual smartcard technology. But Microsoft has stated that this is being deprecated in favor of windows hello.

Can I confirm if this is something that could affect the recently added options for logging into windows systems?
