Premiere Plugin Incorrect Output Size

Using GoPro 5.3k 8:7 "Wide" footage, no stabilization from GoPro; I have the output size for Gyroflow set to 3840x2160 (to match my sequence settings) but the output does not scaled correctly. If you check Stabilization Overview, it shows the frame as it should be, but then it is zoomed in on the sequence timeline when unchecked. I have to then scale every clip at 73% to get it to the correct size. This is GREATLY increasing my render time in Premiere.

Are you sure you don't have any transforms set in premiere? Like zoom in the Transforms panel

Absolutely sure. It’s don’t this on my last 4 projects. Only change was switching from a GoPro 9 at 4k to a Gorpro 11 at 5.3k. The rest of my process has stayed exactly the same.

Last time someone had this problem it was the zoom in the Transforms panel, it may also depend on the timeline settings whether premiere should scale the footage to fit the timeline. Gyroflow should generally work fine with 8:7, please poke around with the scaling settings some more

New Project. Definitely an issue here. Double checked for any scaling hidden in the sequence settings. See attached pictures for my process.

New Sequence, no hidden scaling.

Add 5.3k Clip.

Aadd Gyroflow, you can see the output setting is for 4k 16:9.

No scaling in the transform section either.

The frame boundary looks correct in the overview.

Scale at 73% to get it to fit correctly.

Note: the frame size DOES shows up correctly in the stand-alone application.

I thing setting the Scale to 73% is the right solution, but I'll double check later

Yea, I would super appreciate if you could look in to it. Its definitely adding an extra processing step... Wouldnt it make more sense to have Gyroflow process the scale as it is already rendering the image with the stabilization and lens correction?

the problem is that it's a limitation of the plugin interface, and as far as I remember, there's simply no other way

it might sound like an obvious thing, but the sad truth is that is for a video editor plugins, outputting a different size than the input size from a plugin is a really exotic idea

Most video editors can't even do that, and eg. in DaVinci Resolve it's completely not possible, so we have to process lower resolution and lose details. Unless you use the plugin in Fusion, which is a different interface and works differently, but not without quirks too

I spent 4 months working on the Adobe plugin itself, and the amount of pain and workarounds is insane. Gyroflow apparently does some crazy things that no editor anticipated, and that is: accessing the video file path, accessing original video pixels (not scaled and not cropped), accessing frame timestamp (this one is fundamental for gyroflow but almost impossible in all the editors) and keeping an instance of calculated smoothing data per plugin instance.

Each one of these things is a real struggle because the Adobe or OpenFX authors never predicted anyone might need that.

I would really love for the plugin to have a lot of nice things but the limitations are severe and there's simply nothing I can do. I was in contact with Adobe engineers and they even couldn't answer my simple question how to do some of these things so I had to figure out crazy workarounds
