Code Syntax Highlighting not working

Expected Behavior

syntax highlighting for javascript blocks with configuration by default or configuration set to
code:
languages:
- javascript

Actual Behavior

Appears formated but without any syntax highlighting.

How can we reproduce the behavior?

I've tried with v.2.8.4, v.2.8.3 and v.2.6.0 and it's not working, I tested directly with the init project.

Update:

I have now tested it with a Linux system. There it works.

With the Windows system it still does not work.
