Lots of opportunities for improvement in this project. Including:

[ ] Continuous integration with Travis

[ ] Improving unit tests for code coverage

[ ] Stop using nose for unit testing
(since it isn't maintained anymore)

[ ] Research proper ways of testing Cython code

[ ] Catching assertions from unit tests

This milestone is to track progress in this effort.
