opower fails to auth to coned

The problem

get this error message. worked fine for a few hours. coned login uses 2FA, was setup properly w/ TOTP and worked initially.
when I log in manually I have to pick which account to use (based on address), but when I first setup this was not an issue and seemed to pick right account. Also tried logging in manual again and reload so the "right" account would be the one logged in but still same issue.
