I love the labels-functionality, because I can finally group specific scripts, automations, helpers and devices together. I use them as “projects” basically. But what I really would love is if we’d get overview pages for the labels like there currently are for areas: when you click an area under config you get a list of devices, entities, automations, scenes, scripts & a logbook. That would really be helpful in developing and maintaining certain sets of these that have to work together but aren’t of the same type.
And to really tie everything together, if it would also support a description field to document how everything fits together than it’d be completely awesome.
To give an examples as illustration: I have a label for heating in the house which comprises of a set of helpers and automations which will switch off all heating when nobody is home, but also switch off heating in a specific room if a door or window of that room is left open for more than 3 minutes. But also sets it back to the previous temperature after closing the door/window, and another one to apply a schema of on/off temperatures to the rooms too. All in all it uses: 12 zigbee open/close sensors, 9 radiator controls, 1 thermometer, 21 helpers, 13 automations and 5 scripts. And it depends on a second set of automations/devices/helpers detecting whether we're home.
To keep track of this I currently have it all documented in my note-taking app, but I would much rather have it all in one overview page within Home Assistant with the documentation included. This should be technically possible using labels I think.
