Unable to manually install plugin

I am trying to install a specific fork of a plugin using the HOOBS cli per https://support.hoobs.org/docs/60e0d1a2646faaa152f10ddb

Expected behavoir
The plugin should be installed.

FWIW, on a "vanilla" homebridge install, I can successfully add this plugin using:

$ sudo npm install -g --unsafe-perm github:dacarson/homebridge-weather-plus
