Error running PyParticleVis.py - version 450 is not supported

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download the repository
2. cd to the repository folder
3. Run "ParticleVis.py"

In the stack trace it shows "version 450 is not supported". Which refers to the GLSL version supported by your OpenGL installation. Most likely you need to upgrade your graphics driver to something that supports GLSL 4.5 / OpenGL 4.5.

macOS Ventura 13.2.1 2020 M1 MacBook Pro

I am not a mac user myself, but from what I read online OpenGL is deprecated on macOS and Apple does not indent to provide any new versions. According to this your system only supports OpenGL 4.1

Maybe you can find a third party workaround, but as I aid I do not have much experience with macOS. Easiest would be to get access to a Windows or Linux machine with OpenGL 4.5 compatible Hardware and drivers (most mid-ranged systems from the last few years should have that).
