Is there a way to restrict the PyTorch version (e.g. torch>=2.8)?

For simplicity, I’d like to restrict my kernels project to only build with specific PyTorch versions — for example, to not build for PyTorch < 2.8.

Is there currently any way to specify or enforce such a version restriction?

You can do it with a bit of Nix, e.g. if you put in flake.nix:

But it's definitely worth considering supporting this in build.toml like we have cuda-minver now.
