Import not working - DLL load failed while importing _rehamovelib: the specified module could not be found

Hello, I am trying to import the rehamovelib in my Python project (python 3.8). Unfortunately the module can't be found, even though the files are in the project folder. I've tried on Windows and on Linux, neither works. Do I need to install any other packages for this to work? I added the project directory to PYTHONPATH, that didn't help.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I had a similar issue, changing python version to 3.7.9 solved the problem. Other python versions seem not to work. It would be nice to have that documented somewhere.

I am able to get the example code "connect_midway.py" working when I download the necessary windows files from builds/python2/windows_amd64 and use a Python 2.7 interpreter. However, I get the same error message "ImportError: DLL load failed while importing _rehamovelib: The specified module could not be found." when using the files from builds/python/windows_amd64 and a Python 3.9 interpreter.

It seems that the _rehamovelib.pyd file is not compatible with Python 3. Would it be possible to get an updated library file?

@ajellett I had a similar issue about a year ago. It seems this repository is no longer maintained. Your best option is to use a Python 3.7.x version to make it work. It's not as troublesome as it might seem. Alternatively, you could try compiling the library files yourself and see how that goes.
