Should we make a little working group to try and address some issues/feature requests?

It looks like the Devs are too busy for this at the moment but I can see some interest in updates. Personally I'm looking to get into modifying this app to learn about GitHub and Android development.

I'm thinking we can help each other get things set up, use sensible branching, test, and implement changes. Maybe we start in this thread sharing what we can offer, what we might need help with, and main short-term goals.

I've managed to build the code in Android Studio and stimulate the app so I can help with that, but I haven't successfully loaded it onto a device yet. I have some knowledge about branching and merging from using SVN but there's a lot of things in git I am not confident on. I'm hoping to be able to fix some 'bug's that I can test easily.
