Undoing the checkmark is not possible when using a measurable habit

Description

When pressing skip or save on a measurable Habit (ie pages of a book read) it is not possible to remove it. There exists no (x mark) and returning the values to default (ie Zero pages) does not solve the problem. This happens though I didn't put in the first place any value or comment, but barely pressed save on a blank day

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to a new measurable habit
2. Click on any day being in the calendar or the dashboard once to fill in the day Habit details (ie Number of pages read or Notes)
3. Press skip or save
4. See error

System information

• Phone: Samsung Galaxy A32
• Phone Operating System: Android 13
• App version: 2.2.1

This is specific to not having question marks enabled.

What do you think is better: add a button which clears the entry (like how it works when question marks are enabled) or 0 just doesn't exist as an entry (I believe this is more like the Boolean habits)?

If I'm understanding correctly, what you are asking is already possible in 2.3.1 (looks like you are still using 2.2.1).
In addition to SAVE and SKIP there is now a ? button.
I'd suggest trying to update the app and see if this solves the problem.

I think the 2nd option is a better alternative. If thr entry has either the quantity or a comment or both then it might be counted. But if they're both default, it is better for that day to not be counted

I actually updated the app to its last available version. The issue still persists. Basically if you save or skip the day on a measurable Habit, regardless of whether you alter its variables or not, the day will have a darker shade than default days and be marked in the dot count. What I am asking is to either have an x button to clear the habit like in yes or no habits, or for it to not mark the day if you either don't enter anything or clear the day's variables to become default. The 2nd option, that I prefer

Actually, I fixed the issue. It only happens when a user creates an 'at least' target type habit. I've been using this app for months and have faced this issue myself. So I learned Kotlin and fixed it! :)
The issue happens when the user saves 0. So I added a condition: if they save 0 but the threshold is not 0.0, then don't highlight the color. It works fine for me. I'll raise a PR today. :)
