False Reporting #56

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Spoofing
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Spoofed name is reported

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.8 Vista

Please provide any additional information below.

When a hacker is spoofing, he can use a real person that doesn't hack, and
will get reported on that legit name. This causes the detect to say people
are hackers but really are not and just got caught on a hackers spoof.

Since BWHF Agent operates on replays, there is no way to detect soofs.

Yes, this is a known issue.

Might I suggest you implement a way so that bwhf automatically scans every
player in
the game. Because from my experience, the only way to tell if it's the real
person or
spoof is by typing "/where NAMEHERE" and it would tell you where the real owner
of
that account is at; whether they are offline, in another game, or in a channel.
Make it so that the bwhf automatically does that at the beginning of the game
and if
it happens to find something suspicious, it can either rule out it's the real
player
or a spoof.
I personally never use 3rd party programs, so I don't really know how bwhf
works or
operate.... all I know is that it needs a new update in high regards to spoof
hackers.

BWHF Agent is NOT a 3rd party program. It cannot execute commands inside
Starcraft.

And even if it could and would, Battle.net would disconnect you due to command
spam
(this happened with old Chaoslauncher versions which had a spoof checker
feature).

This is not a tool of personal vendetta. I do not add players to the database
just
because you don't like him. I agree re-allying is not a nice thing, but this
database
is for hackers.

Not sure if this is right place to post ><

I'm 6[nK]@USWest

I was in a 1v1 game against aS]Mandingo- when I recieved a message from levels
calling me a hacker; he is the one who reported me earlier today.
http://vilegaming.com/league.x/match1/235151
That was the match I was in.

The game he reported me for was 1 minute before I started my 1v1 against
Mandingo-,
unfortunately it wasn't at the same time which could clear me completley.

But for what it's worth I'd like to say that I never played him and that wasn't
me in
the game with him... I don't use any kind of third party programs and would
appreciate being removed from this list.

the day it came out and have never hacked. I would like to be removed off your

My sn is SaLah_aL-Din I am not a hacker but I am on the database. When BWHFBot

the list if I clearly am not a hacker?

Hey, my ID is Doggystyle69

I got a message from ghetto-girl yesterday about someone spoofing my ID. I see
there's a report for me on Jan.19, which is clearly not a game played by me
since 60
APM is like less than my APM min for typical games.

Please remove me from the list, thanks.

Okay so I believe I have found the right forum this time.

(Copy pasta)
Hello, I wasn't exactly sure where to comment on this, but, my name on
starcraft is
"MissMayI" Out of nowhere I was reported on one count of hacking. It says that
I'm a
possible hacker, yet I've never been proved to hack. I went to look up the
details on
the game, and it didn't say exactly what hack I was supposedly using, so I ask
a lot
of people about it and they told me to come report it to you and that maybe I
was
spoofed. So I don't know if you can help me on that, or clarify what kind of 3rd
party software I was supposedly using at the time.

So once again the name is

tl:dr version:
Name: MissMayI
Reason: 3 years of sc and one count of hacking that lasted a couple minutes.
I have reason to believe that I was spoofed.

Once again, thanks a bunch, if you can help me with that, it would be nice, if
not I
would understand that you're a pretty busy person. lol

Hey my username is WalkingEagle and just recently (within the past few days)BWHF
started reporting me as a possible hacker even though i have not, and do not,
hack.
There are many replays, sent in by SC username Khyper, verifying that i do not
hack.
I would grately appreciate being removed from the list if possible.
Thanks

warm greeting site admin,

i am nevereverlost
i have nevereverhacked
the only program i have ever run is some sort of hack detector (some sort
chaos-plug-in) when i played in the PSL league during the time Iccup had issues
with
starcraft 1.16

BTW I have played thousands and thousands of games on battlenet and yet I have
people
booting me from games and verbally falsely accusing me because of 1 report from
BWHF
program?? plz remove me from your lists. Thx you.

Could I please be removed from your "hacker" list? My username is Mr.Lotus-Alp;
I've
never used a hack on battle.net, and it's kind of upsetting that this program
is
causing people to falsely accuse me of hacking and ban me from their games.
Please
fix this.

And I'm not sure how a player gets added to your list of "hackers," but I
strongly
suggest you make improvements to your methods of determining hackers, because
you're
doing a very poor job so far. Especially considering a player like myself, who
has
never used a hack, is on this list. If you're going to advertise this software
as
being a "hack detector," maybe you should make sure it's accurate first.

I'm sorry I'm sounding like an asshole. I like what you guys are doing with
this BWHF
program, but I'm starting to develop a strong hatred for it due to its complete
inaccuracy in detecting hackers.

Hello;

I have played SC for at least 13 years now (on and off), and just yesterday
I've been
reported as a hacker, but I never have and never will hack...the name reported
I use
is HOMEGR0WN (the second "o" is a zero).

It says I played yesterday, when I did not. I have been using BWHF for over
two
months now, is there a way it tracks all the games I have played and I can
prove to
you I do not hack??

Thanks!

A few months ago, I decided to take a break from Starcraft BroodWar. In that
time, someone decided to spoof my username in FPM maps (which I almost never
play, I don't even play public melee games). Now I've been flagged as a hacker.
I have never EVER hacked in my years of playing. I've always backstabbed any
hacker I play with.

Is there anything I can do to get my username (GN[FDU]@USEast) removed from the
hacker database?

By the way, I always use ADV Loader, and as far as I am concerned, you can
never load 2 third party programs.

Obviously there is some integrity issues with the database when emotions

If there is a replay of this supposedly time I hacked I would like the hotkeys

I am a fan of your work. I play and catch bad guys for you using my lovely key
that is like the most important thing to me in bw. Can´t play without bwhf!

Anyways finally after all these years someone finally spoofed me, he didnt even
manage to get my name right. infam_vigor without capitals and on a map ive
never played lol, gg.

Would appreciate if I got it erased and if it´s possible to see if it was the
spoofer who used his bwhf to report me by spoofing me. He should get his key
banned. Otherwise I´d settle for just the clean record. I got over 7000 games
clean so why would I start hacking now :D
