This model validates the Griffin against SEFOR (Southwest Experimental Fast Oxide Reactor) isothermal experimental data.
The goal is to assess Griffin’s predictive capability for sodium-cooled fast reactor conditions using high-fidelity transport methods.
Model Description
A fully heterogeneous 3D DFEM-SN Griffin solve was performed for SEFOR cores I-I and I-E.
Multigroup cross-sections were generated using MCC-3.
Impact
This validation improves confidence in Griffin’s predictive accuracy for fast reactor applications, directly supporting advanced reactor design and licensing.
