For large documentation sites, it can be helpful to add an additional level of hierarchy (above that expressed in a side menu).
While the current hextra topbar supports adding items to the right side, I worry that readers could overlook important information, as scanning from the topleft corner is a well-observed pattern among readers of LtR languages on the web.1
