I just want to thank you for implementing CLIP to Immich's search. Yesterday i was just browsing buch of photos and suddenly realised the CLIP is implemented so i entered a few one sentence queries to see how accurate it is. And oh boy, i can tell it is different world. Of course it throws some slightly incorrect results among the correct but it is absolutely normal at this stage of AI implementation to basically everyting.
I immediately show this to my friend which was shocked how efficient (he meant the speed to accuracy ratio) it is and how accurate results it can output if your input is specific enough.
Just about now i wanted to see some opening hours on the shop as they has been changed several times. The one and only photo i took of those opening hours was the SECOND result after entering "annoucement on glass door". I thought CLIP isn't as smart it would know what "opening hours" was and i was wrong. Then i entered "opening hours on glass door" and "opening hours" and it was the FIRST result in both cases.
Amazing job from OpenAI and also from you guys (developers and contributors) for implementing it.
PS: I'm using immich for like a half a year now and i can't live without it now. I already sponsored this project several times and i hope not the last time! Big thank you one more time!
