Matching up records of different types

This may not be related to the library, but instead in how it is used.  We are creating sets of records (Abstracts, HL7, etc).  The process we are using end up with some records of the same type matching each other but never has matches between types.  

We need to make sure we create a set of data that has multiple records types for each person.
