In ekos when imaging with setting of subsecond exposure only every other attempt succedes.
Could be a bug in indi_nikon_ccd or any call from there.

To Reproduce
Exact steps to reproduce the behavior.

  1. Start ekos in kstar and stats ekos with the camera attached and ready.
  2. Go to CCD and set any subsecond (0.5 in example) exposure and create such Sequence queue and start the sequence or simply capture a preview
  3. Capture failes saying check INDI controlpanel for details. (says error expsure failed to save image unspecified error) -> Restarting capture attempt Make core compile #1 -> Capturing 0.500-second image... -> Capture failed. Check INDI Control Panel for details ([INFO] Starting 0.5 seconds exposure. ) -> Restarting capture attempt Make standard 3rdparty set compile from github clone.  #2 -> Capturing 0.500-second image... -> Capture failed. Check INDI Control Panel for details -
(((INFO] Starting 0.5 seconds exposure)) -> Capture failed. Check INDI Control Panel for details ([ERROR] Exposure failed to save image... Unspecified error)
  4. Restart the sequence queue or take a capture preview again and it works.

Expected behavior
Expect the subsecond exposure to work every time..

If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

Kstars 6:3.7.4+202501011145ubuntu24.04.1
indi-full 2.1.1+202412060709
ubuntu24.04.1

log with failed attempt and succes
indi_nikon_ccd_19:15:30.log

Log with changing every possible setting in indi control panel
indi_nikon_ccd_14:50:15.log

Output off
gphoto2 --list-all-config
nikond7200_settings.txt

Besides subsecond exposure failing every other times camera behaves properly.

Any help welcome. This behavior makes it difficult to take flats.
Cheers/
Björn
