Hi

(Document type: account.journal, Operation: read)

This error happens when i create Customer Invoices (sharing sales account or not). However I am able to open and close pos for the current store.
I think this is du to dashboard displaying all point of sales from different stores.
How Can I filter Point of sales display in dashboard to current store?
Thanks.

Hi jjscarafia
First of all thank you for your time. I am newby and I have tried to run the runbot but could not see connect button.

Here are the steps I took on different local build (with latest build of multi store).
To start, I have installed following modules in Odoo before multi-stores: sales, purchase, accounting, inventory and point of sales. configuration wise, I only installed generic account chart.
Logged as admin:
-I have installed multi-store

  • created two stores in settings > users> stores; store1 and store2
  • created a user user1 (multi-store checked, allowed in both stores, current store: blank, accounting: adviser, pos: manager, sales: manager, setting, etc..)
  • Logged as user1 (no current store for the user)
  • I have renamed the sales journal, in accounting>configurations> journals, from "Customer Invoice" to "Store1-Customer Invoice" and set the store field to store1. Then I created a second sales journal and named it "store2-Customer Invoices" and set it to store2.
  • In point of sale>configuration>point of sale , I have configured two pos, pos1 and pos2. Set pos1 sales journal to "Store1-Customer Invoice" and set pos2 sales journal to "Store2-Customer Invoice".
  • to test the config, I have set the user preference > current store to store1. From this point, Odoo gives me the following error when I click on point of sale in menu.

`The requested operation cannot be completed due to security restrictions. Please contact your system administrator.

(Document type: account.journal, Operation: read)`

I think this is due to point of sale's dashboard displaying pos2 with sales journal belonging to store2 hence the error message for user in store1.

Thanks

Hi
Today I was able to access the runbot. I have reproduced my steps described above and had encountered the same security issue over journal restriction per store in point of sales.

On runbot I have installed POS as admin, authorized demo user to administrate pos, invoices. Then logged as Demo user, and I did configurations steps described above.

Point of sales named POS Buenos Aires use sales journal dedicated for Buenos Aires store while POS Rosario use sales journal for Rosario store.

Thanks
