As talked to you @ironcamel privately already here comes the feature request. As some google accounts are business styled, like [email protected] and hosted by google they can use the gtalk server for connecting to the xmpp network. but they need to have a specified server for it, as host.tld isn't the used xmpp server but you need the full email for login. so it would be awesome to get this feature working, also problematic seems to be the handling of addresses with a "." (dot) in the first part like shown above name.name. as I have that way a googlemail address like [email protected], as germany won't get the short form of gmail.com, it might also be an issue with that. Thanks so far for that great tool :)

Greetings
Martin

Can you give me a dummy funtoo.org account for testing?

@ironcamel sorry I can't, but I will talk about it with our leader if we can do so for a specific time period until the bug is solved. Thanks for all the help

This would solve the gmail ( with other post-fixes other than @gmail.com ) issues
