This is an amazing project, and the only one of its kind, please don't kill it with inactivity. There are currently 26 PRs and 71 (not counting this) issues still open. You haven't done any merges in the past thirty days. A quick scan shows the PR's contain words like "critical" and "potential security".

Unfortunately this is the state of many FOSS repos on github and elsewhere. I wish a mechanism similar to Stack Exchange's community wiki could be put in place by github for when authors abandon their projects, or at least some sort of reputation system that would allow trusted users to take over abandoned repos and llow the community to revive them. Or some way to "bless" a fork as the canonical version... anyway, I'm rambling; I just wanted to say that I completely agree with you, +:100:
