Proposal: Start a French Translation of Istio Documentation

Hello,

I’d like to propose starting a French translation of the Istio documentation.

Currently, the docs are available in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Ukrainian. Adding French could help reach a broader audience, especially across Europe, Africa, and Canada.

As a first step, I’m wondering whether organizing a small community workshop to kick off the translation effort would make sense, and if there is interest from contributors or guidance from maintainers on the recommended process (tooling, workflow, scope, etc.).

I’d be happy to help coordinate or contribute to this effort if it aligns with the project’s direction.

Any feedback or pointers on the best way to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
