Probably they want to prevent the use of two apps with the same sensor, because that will give connection errors. |

I haven't tried. I will try when my sensor is near end-of-life just to
ensure I don't get myself ensnared in some kind of DRM hell. :)

Can you switch between
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.freestylelibre3.app.us
and
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abbott.adc.freestyle.libre.us
?

Did you start the sensor with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abbott.adc.freestyle.libre.us ? Otherwise you can't try. |

I had a *bunch* of sensor problems last night that kept me up for hours
because I had two dead ones in a row. Because of this, I started worrying
(I know, wrongly!) that starting with Juggluco might be the problem.
Of course it wasn't, but I was concerned as I'm running out of sensors, so
I went the conservative route for my 3rd sensor last night and started it
off with the Libre 3 app (not the new Universal One) because I knew that in
the past I was able to "pass the baton" from Libre 3 to Juggluco
successfully, which I did once the 3rd sensor seemed to be working fine.
So, the only thing I can really try is moving from Libre 3 -> Libre
Universal, which, as you say, probably won't work. But it'll be interesting
to try anyway. In two weeks.

The following is against the rational I gave: running
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abbott.adc.freestyle.libre.us
on two different phones connected to the same sensor will also give
connection problems.

Oh, question: when I need to call Abbott support for a sensor issue, they
always ask me questions about the app.
Given that soon I'll be moving to the Libre 3+ and I assume that only works
on the new universal app, how are people to successfully provide the info
support needs if it won't "accept" a sensor scanned by Juggluco?
Will we need to initially scan all new sensors on the native app before
moving to Juggluco afterwards?
So many questions...
Thx.

Hi - I am still able to freely go back and forth between Juggluco and the Libre 3 app on my Android phone. But when I try to use the new "universal" Libre app that is designed to work with all Libre CGMs, I get an error to the effect of "this was already scanned on another device. Please use the original device for the remainder of this sensor because you cannot transfer it mid-use."
Any idea why the new universal app isn't allowing mixed app use for the same sensor? Any way around this new limitation?
