We should be instructing clients never to treat files as ascii as this has caused issues with a few people. Something bwtween the server and client is treating files without extension as ascii files. resulting in corruption of files such as boot0 and boot1 this resulted in corrupption that managed to work its way through all my nand backups as it didnt prevent the console from working but did mangle my keyblobs. a current workarround is to go into the filezilla settings and tell it to treat all files as binary but if there is a way to do it in sys-ftpd that would be the best.
