Use with BTCPay nodes?

I'm trying to use this fantastic explorer with the nodes deployed on BTCPay but it seems the connections are not allowed on localhost but only via onion service that we want to skip because the sync process and overall performance.

There is a guideline or starting point on that? This adaptation should add audience to the explorer, for sure.
