It appears that JBake 2.7.0 will be necessary for macOS support on Apple Silicon (M1) machines. I believe this means we need a release of the plugin that includes PR #64.

jbake-org/jbake#771 will be helpful and hopefully merged in to JBake(core) 2.7.0.
