Description
Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well. I need some help regarding the SMS-Backup+ application.
I'm planning to format (factory reset) my phone, but since the app is no longer available on the Play Store, I'm worried about being unable to reinstall it afterwards.
I've relied on SMS-Backup+ for years to keep track of my call history in Google Calendar and to back up SMS messages to a Gmail folder. I've been keeping it alive by monitoring GitHub and applying fixes when needed, but this time I'm not sure how to proceed.
Could you please advise me on a step-by-step process to safely restore the app after a reset?
I don't need to restore the SMS on the phone afterwards, as all my backups are already stored in Gmail. However, since the app is no longer officially supported, maybe you could recommend a replacement app that can fulfill the same two needs:
- Upload call history to a Google Calendar (e.g., "Call History" calendar)
- Upload SMS messages to a Gmail folder
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards,
Danyfire
