kill timed out

Hi,

I am seeing some strange error which I didn't observe before. Do you know why is happening and how can I debug it since I cannot extract logs because of this failure?

That's very odd indeed! This means that kill -9 -w whatever took more than 30 seconds to execute, which is definitely not normal, haha. You might try using --leave-db-running and poking around on the node itself, seeing if you can reproduce whatever is causing kill to time out.

Question connected to the issue: When killing a node, does the whole container get stopped or somehow just process inside the container? Is this killing operation equivalent to e.g docker stop jepsen-n1.?

Jepsen doesn't know anything about containers. Exactly what a kill does depends on the implementation in your DB, but it's probably something like kill -9 some-database.
