Thanks again for your feedback. Posteria does allow you to set the directory to store the posters in the I have it setup that way because users may still edit posters in Plex in the Plex web UI or other 3rd party app. So I chose to consider Plex as the source of truth. What I do is backup my Posteria posters on a schedule and now I have a true backup. I have toyed with the idea of having a restore option in Posteria and in fact there used to be a bulk export option. However, there were issues with that and in the case of a complete Plex failure it could be really hard to match them up the way Posteria uses the media ids from Plex since those change on a new install of Plex. The other reason that I don't want to consider adding backup/restore features is simply due to the complexity of ensuring that it works in every situation. Right now it works very well as a UI for updating Posters which was my main goal. Thanks again |

as you stated posteria is not a backup solution for plex. but it would be great to have this as a option to backup to a dedicated folder (and ideally restore if something weird happens)
