Can I list all changes with a given prefix?

Error: Change ID prefix `o` is ambiguous

is there a way to find all changes with IDs that have the prefix o?

(and should this be listed in the error?)

Do you want to list them or show them?
The log command lists them, and takes a revset as a parameter.

What revset syntax would I use in this case? I had a look through https://docs.jj-vcs.dev/latest/revsets/ but couldn't find something that worked

It is description(glob:"o*").
Also there is a very hepfull article how to improve yoir jj setup - and it gives more understanding how to use revsets to achieve different goals.

I don't think description() is right here because that's about the commit description, while @nyctef seems to be asking about the change id.

There's no option to list all ambiguous matches. What do you want to achieve?

BTW, there would be lots of revisions matching a single-char prefix. The result might be ~10 revisions among the short-prefixes set, though.

Also listing the commits may be expensive for other Backends, e.g Google.

In this particular case it was mostly curiosity, to be honest

although I do think it could be very nice to have an error message more like

Error: Change ID prefix `o` is ambiguous
Hint: did you mean
  ○  olhtf user.name 1 day ago ba1130fe ...
  ○  osefj user.name 1 day ago b2aaef7e ...

I sort of assumed that jj would have an index for looking up IDs by prefix, but I guess it's understandable if that's not always the case
