Difference between rate_per_digitization_round and rate?

Hi there are 2 MQTT fields, namely rate_per_digitization_round and rate, the description according to this page (https://jomjol.github.io/AI-on-the-edge-device-docs/MQTT-API/) is the same for both "How much flow was consumed in one minute."

Can somebody help to explain the difference? Thanks

rate_per_digitization_round = Change since last Digitization round/Interval
rate = Rate (Unit/Minute) , I think rate was replaced by rate_per_time_unit

Thank you! I read rate_per_time_unit and unit is defined by Home Assistant - I’m OpenHAB user so not sure how can I user this though.
