Hi everyone, here is a view of my current setup: My setup is probably a bit different because it's mounted on the backside of cover where the watermeter I get occasional errors of the last digit when there is a rollover in the numbers. The error goes away in a subsequent run. Is there anything that i can do to improve my setup ? |

The picture is relatively dark, try to increase the brightness a little. |

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Increasing the brightness results in lot of glare and also alignment problems. The meter in question proves to be difficult, at least to me, since the bottom sticks out and it's very hard to position the espcam in a good way. The cover can be removed by unscrewing but I think I'm not supposed to do that. Ignoring the glare this is the best result, also in terms of sharpness, I was able to get. I read in a comment of yours that the alignment markers must not be above the digits so I'm out of ideas. |

Thanks, i did not know thats option. Yes it's a fixed installation, however i had to remove the cover a few times since I had to use a power bank until yesterday. However I managed to improve my setup by decreasing the cam distance about 2cm, rotate the espcam so that the led is in the upper region. It's been running for a complete week with 2 errors and I'm very happy with the result.
Also: if your watermeter is behind a metallic cover use a stick a magnet to the backside of the esp32cam case. This allows easy repositioning during the initial setup.
