Suddenly, No Response/Connect And Repeated 3x Flashing Red LED? #3873

I brought the camera in from its location out in the crypt. Plugged it in and first started getting 4 flashes, not 3 followed by 1. So by the chart this would seem to be SD Card but file creation/read-write failure. I put the card into a Windows machine which read it fine. Then for grins, I ran the disk scan/fix on it and suddenly a found folder arrived with two .chk files in it. All of the files seemed readable to the extent I tried to view them in my text editor. Put it back in and tried again. Now getting 5 flashes followed by 1. This would seem to be suddenly a camera issue. I removed the camera module and put it into another Tinker Cam and it worked fine. I took the camera module from the secondary Tinker Cam and put it on the meter cam. I get the same 5 flashes followed by 1. I am starting to wonder if this entire Tinker Cam is somehow trashed. |

The Tinker Cam seems to be working - at least to some extent. It is connecting to the router and I can get at this in the log viewer via the limited web interface: So I am wondering if this is not really a camera-related issue since the basic device seems to work fairly well and because the actual camera module seems to work in a Tasmota-based Tinker Cam unit. Any suggestions? Perhaps I need to re-create the SD Card files? I do note that the Windows disk check found some issues. Thanks |

Not knowing if this would help, I performed an OTA update. Was thinking/hoping it would re-write the SD Card. Maybe it did. It seemed to complete ok. But I still have error. It does seem still to be a camera-related error. |

As suddenly as this began, it has ended. This morning no flashing and OTE is working again. Very strange. Thanks BTW - I am starting to think that some water/moisture got into the works. I will have to work out some form of additional shielding for that. |

Well, now it is crapping out again. I tried to completely reflash/re-install. It flashes fine, completes in SD card install, asks for my wifi, and then it is now back to the 5-1 flashing LED again. Then add to this I tried to flash with Tasmota and it too flashes fine but cannot run the camera. So I am guessing this device is just hosed totally now. |

You can see the flash pattern here.
I am looking at the documentation here.
If I am understanding this, it means that the problem source is the SD Card and the init failed.
Am I right in this interpretation? Thanks
