Never heard about this nor have I seen any water meter that had water in it. This defintely is a faulty unit and should get replaced, but yeah, good luck with that |

Are they water bubbles that move a little? In my experience, it is usually a bad installation and not a defective water meter. The bubbles form when the water meter is not filled and installed correctly. The water bubbles then collect at the highest point, which is under the glass. Unfortunately, it is not so easy to remove them in the usual ways. An unorthodox way is to reduce the pressure and loosen the screw connections a little. Then turn the water meter upside down and let the water run for a short time. The water bubbles are then flushed away and the water meter can be turned upside down again, tightened and screwed tight again. |

Thanks, I edited my first post, not reading your answers, sorry. So another user told me, its not water drops but air bubbles in the water, that could happen after installation, I have to wait a few months.
The bubbles move every time, when I close a water tap, maybe I could do that a lot of times. But I think I have to wait 😢 |

The water droplets certainly won't disappear, as the glass is the highest point of the water meter and air is lighter than water :-) |

I was right in the beginning, no air bubbles, but water droplets, as I thought.
It is clear to me now. In another forum I posted a picture: https://community.simon42.com/t/welcher-wasserzaehler-ist-das/63020/13 The meter is now nearly full of water, I guess in some weeks there are no more drops or bubbles anymore. |

Hello
Just some days ago we got a new but also very old school water meter and only now I installed this great ESP32-Cam system.
But after a day I noticed that a drop entered the inner of the glass and I had to get rid of the first digit. Later there were drops everywhere and now recognition is not working anymore at all.
Can I do something about it?
I already sent an email to the provider to replace the meter because it will be full of water in a while but i doubt that they'll do something about it.
Is this a well known problem?
Thanks. Frank
EDIT: that are not water drops but Air bubbles, I know now. The meter is filled with water. Someone said they disappear after a few months and are caused by the meter change.
EDIT 2: that is wrong, the dops are indeed drops, not air bubbles.
