Upgrade from Acorn 3.3 to Acorn 4.3 stops rendering views in WordPress

I've successfully used your plugin with Acorn 3.3 within my wordpress environment and been working away. I need to use livewire with acorn and successfully set this up, however when I try to view the pages I have setup in the web.php route, I just get a 404 error.

I'm relatively new to Acorn, and was hoping to have a standalone WP plugin using your starter template but I'm not sure where to even start to diagnose this issue. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Our template currently uses Acorns 3. I have no played around with version 4 yet. Can you provide a public repo with a reproduction of the issue?

I also updated to Acorn v4.3.0 and experienced presumably the same issue. The admin view works in my case but the routes in the routes/web.php have stopped working. When navigating to a route defined in web.php it returns a 404 error page and not the view as before.

Using Acorn v4.0.0 and WordPress v6.6.1 I noticed that there is something going on in the Bootloader.php (Roots>Acorn>Bootloader.php) in the function registerRequestHandler(..) on line 251.
When commenting this snippet of code $api = parse_url(rest_url(), PHP_URL_PATH); the routing works for me as expected, I don't know if this is a bug and if they've tested this.

The error that I get when enabling that line of code is: Error: Call to a member function using_index_permalinks() on null.

That is in file: rest-api.php, line 469 in file wordpress>wp-includes>rest-api.php.

Agreed - after looking into it I came to the same conclusion. Appears to be an issue with the package.

I have a (dirty) fix for this even for Acorn version ^5.0.0-beta.0. After reading his suggestions I cannot make it work except when I change a few parts of the code in Acorn. Then the routing works as expected.
