problems for install the package

hello i am new in github and though i have already installed the package by using "pip install binarytree", I still wonder why  I downloaded the zip and ran "pip setup.py install"  but went wrong with the error "setuptools-scm was unable to detect version for C:\Users\Desktop\binarytree-6.5.1." while I have installed setuptools-scm package in version of 8.0.4. Thanks a lot!
