Disregard Null-ls and default back to lsp for formatting

Hi,

I'm using the powershell-es lsp which comes with it's own formatting. So how do I tell null-ls not to format files using built-ins but defer back to the lsp?

I've seen the avoid conflicts wiki, so if my client name powershell-es is the lsp to format - how does it work with that:

Currently when I do <leader>fm for lsp formatting, it just says "[LSP] Format request failed, no matching language servers"

When I do :LspInfo it only shows powershell-es attched to the buffer

There are a bunch of ways you could select a client for formatting based on which clients are attached. For example, you could use vim.lsp.get_active_clients({ bufnr = bufnr }) to get the list of active clients for the given buffer, see if powershell-es is attached, and then use that as your filtering condition.

Yes, there's no reason to include both of these in a single callback and it is likely to cause weird behavior. Not sure where you got that snippet, but it's not in the wiki.

That was probably my bad... when modifying the code to accept format on save...

Sorry for asking for things to be spelled out, but once you get the active clients, if you know the file type (assume this can be got) you just say, if file type is cs then use this active client otherwise fallback to null ls if it exists?

mind you, having done that, it shows when doing :LspInfo that null-ls isn't attached to the buffer with ps1 as filetype... so assuming that all calls would be going to powershell_es any way.... if I understand it correctly, is it just an event emitted, any attached client will just listen for that event and do something with it - hence the possibility for collision?
