I wanted to try OneDriver out because the description says "onedriver performs an on-demand download of files when your computer attempts to use them".
So I just installed it and authenticated my OneDrive. However, in Nautilus, not a single file is shown, but the bottom right corner says "Loading" with a spinner.
So I checked the OneDriver logs and there I see "[...] onedriver[22448]: 23:11:30 INF Downloading bytes [...]" of a very large file that I have in my OneDrive.
I also noted "Known issues" part that specifically says that Nautilus tries to download everything to create thumbnails, so I'm guessing that is what triggers this issue. However, does that mean that it's impossible to use the on-demand part of OneDriver if you're using Nautilus? Or is it possible to block this behaviour somehow?
I specifically want to NOT sync everything ahead of time and I'm looking for software to do so.
And yes, I also noted the disclaimer about not using OneDrive for backups. It's not a backup though, just a very large media file that is non-critical but I still want to keep it in OneDrive.
Thank you very much for a great software!
