Currently, the instructions to use Kagi on Vanadium go the exact same way as with other Chromium browsers on Android based OSs, but Vanadium's instructions are just more confusingly worded. I believe it would make more sense to link Vanadium's instructions to the Chromium Android guide, and add to that guide
If you don't see "Kagi (kagi.com)" in the available list of search engines, perform more searches using Kagi and check again if Kagi appears on the list
