Preonic: rotary button locks the keyboard

Describe the bug
I have reproduce a strange, bug, if i do not touch the keyboard for around 10 min, and if I touch the rotary button in my case to adjust volume, from that point the keyboard is unresponsive, UNTIL I touch the rotary button. it occurs only on BT as far I can see

Do not lock the keyboard

Environment (please complete the following information):

• OS: Linux
• VersionUbuntu 24.04 on i3 TM
• Device Preonic, custom firmware build with latest master

I've also been able to reproduce this bug, though I was actively using my keyboard.

Turn rotary knob to adjust volume.

Typing works initially, but after not typing for a brief period (< 10 - 20 seconds), key presses no longer register.

The keyboard still shows as connected, which is also proven by adjusting the rotary knob and key presses begin registering again without having to disconnect / reconnect or power cycle the keyboard.

It's almost as if the rotary switch isn't fully disengaging and is overloading the bluetooth module with a signal, preventing the other keys from working.

Firmware Version: 0.94.0+132
OS: Windows 11 and Fedora 42

the strange think is that I have moved to zmk firmware and it seems that the issue is solved, so perhaps it s a mix from hardware to software. I m still evaluating zmk so I will report here
